Role Responsibility
What you’ll do
As part of the High Speed team, you will be required to deliver exceptional customer service by creating a safe, secure, pleasant and comfortable environment for our passengers.
Your responsibilities range from providing service information, selling tickets, dispatching trains, operating ticket gates, and dealing with safety and security issues.
The ability to multitask is essential, as is having a team ethos.
Your shifts
- You will work a varied shift pattern, which includes weekends, bank holidays and nights.
- The earliest shift start is 05:15 hrs and the latest shift finish is 00:45 hrs – so ideally you will have your own transport to get to and from your place of work.

The experience you’ll need
To be considered you will need to demonstrate:
- a passion for making every passenger journey the best it can be
- excellent people and communication skills
- The ability to engage with people, demonstrating a willingness to help them at all times.
- customer service experience
- a proactive and positive attitude
- the ability to work well in a team
- the ability to handle challenging situations well.
- Demonstrate you are able to meet shift requirements between 05:15 and 00:45 (please describe how you will do so in the Supporting Information section of the application form)
Please note that if applying for Stratford International, the station is staffed by Ebbsfleet International staff, so we are looking for the ability to meet shift requirements starting and finishing at Ebbsfleet.
