What you’ll do
As a Production Delivery Engineer (PDE), you will be leading a team of engineering staff, whilst being responsible for primary defect management to in service units, including, defect troubleshooting, defect diagnosis, work scope creation and defect rectification.
This is a wide-ranging role, that will have a (core /primary focus) on wheel defect management / rectification through effective utilisation of the wheel lathe, providing both technical expertise and team leadership.
The role will report directly to the Slade Green depot management team and the suitable candidate needs to be flexible, with a can-do approach to meet the needs of this position.
The experience you’ll need
To be considered for the role you will need to demonstrate the below in your application.
- 5 years experience of Engineering, NVQ level 3 in Rail Engineering
- Core Management and Leadership training
- Intermediate IT skills (Excel, word etc)
- Accredited with certificate in Engineering (BTEC/ONC) or equivalent
- Hold and Maintain a full UK driving license
- 1A assessor desirable
