Developing Conductor Trainer/Assessor

Job Introduction

As an Internal Developing Conductor Trainer Assessor, you will play a crucial role in delivering training and support to our Passenger Services colleagues.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing training and support to colleagues, ensuring they acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to excel in their roles.
  • Offering guidance, coaching, and support to trainees, utilising your own experience to facilitate effective learning.
  • Collaborating with the training team to support the delivery of comprehensive training programs, while embodying our company values and behaviours.
  • Encouraging a motivational and enthusiastic learning environment, sharing your expertise to develop the knowledge and skills of trainees within the ticket office function.
  • Demonstrating, encouraging, and promoting new ways of how the company retails ticketing products and services.

Support and Development:

You will receive ongoing support, coaching, and guidance in all aspects of the role. We are particularly interested in applications from Passenger Service members of staff with experience in training or coaching others, although all necessary qualifications and training will be provided.

The Ideal Candidate

To excel in this role, you should demonstrate the following:

  • Competence in the duties of a Conductor or Conductor Instructor role
  • A good recent record with at least 3 years of Onboard Passenger Service experience.
  • Face-to-face customer service experience.
  • Cash handling experience.
  • Conversant with new retail ticketing options.
  • A passion for delivering excellent customer service.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work calmly and make decisions under pressure.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative.
  • Resilience and the ability to remain professional in confrontational situations.
  • IT skills.
