Occupational Safety Manager

Job Introduction

We are seeking an Occupational Safety Manager to join our team based from our Head Office in London Bridge (hybrid working).

You will be responsible for the leadership and delivery of the Safety Management of Change process within Southeastern, and successful delivery of safety validation requirements across all Major Programmes/Projects.

You will lead and act as the key point of contact for Southeastern Major Programmes, Facilities and Procurement Teams to ensure appropriate arrangements are in place prior to projects commencing, completing site monitoring activities and assurance checks to ensure compliance with RAMS and other regulatory requirements, undertaking learning reviews as and when required.

You will also be responsible for the creation and maintenance of the Development of Corporate level Standards and Generic Risk Assessment templates to cover Engineering High Risk Activities.

The Ideal Candidate

To be considered for this role we recommend you demonstrate the below in your application;

Essential

  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent report writing with the ability to produce clear, concise reports.
  • Good analytical and investigatory skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to express thoughts clearly to ensure understanding.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Good leadership and ability to motivate others.
  • Good IT literacy (Excel & Word)

Desirable

  • Recognised qualification in CSM-RA/CDM (desirable)
  • Knowledge of railway operating procedures (desirable)
  • Accident and Incident investigation experience (desirable)
